Excellent Stay

antique furniture comfortable bed gold faucet convenient location
The room featured antique furniture and a very comfortable bed. The toilet included both a bathtub and a shower. Gold-colored faucets added a touch of elegance to the bathroom. I found the location convenient. It was close to shops and other attractions.
I think the staff lacked attentiveness at times, which impacted the experience somewhat.
Service
8/10
Staff provided assistance with extra requests and were helpful. The staff presented the room nicely. Breakfast service was very good. The staff were great, i think. The staff were friendly.
Location
10/10
The hotel sits directly opposite the tourist street, Shambles. The pub offered great food, drinks and service, i loved the bar. The open mic entertainment added fun to the experience. EVERYTHING went well.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast was a MASSIVE and tasty experience, i must say. The breakfast offered amazing value. There was good coffee. The hotel served a cooked breakfast. It was VERY good, to my taste.
Facilities
9/10
The room had an iron with an ironing board and a tabletop fridge. I found a kettle and a coffee machine in the room. The building has wonky floors from a time long gone by. The inn has excellent facilities.

large suite comfortable sofa coffee machine rushed meal unavailable drinks cold food
The Shambles suite was large. It also had a comfortable sofa. The coffee machine worked well, and I appreciated having tea, coffee, and milk available (I drink a lot of coffee!). The private bathroom included both a bath and a shower.
I ordered an evening meal. The mains were brought out while I was still eating starters. I did not like that. The staff offered to keep it warm under the lamp, but I would have preferred it fresh. No other drinks were offered, and I had no drink to go with my breakfast.

the room had a semi-period design. it gave me a feeling of age. the room was clean and stylish. all the facilities i expected were available.
the customer service was lacking at times. it really let the place down. i ordered my evening meal. the mains were brought out while i was still eating starters. it was offered to keep it warm, but i'd prefer it cold over dry.
